While the question and answers are very instructive, I’m not convinced there really is an equivalent to SEO. I see a core facet of SEO as involving not only anticipation of searchers and competitors (including noise) but also the incentives and rule-making from the search engine(s)—and largely just one dominant engine! See Ziewitz (2019).
